Surface Preparation

Making it right from the start.

The most important part of thejob is how a surface is prepared for the tile.  Doing this part of a tile job correctly is often over looked. When the surface is prepared the right way you can be assured your tile will be installed to last and look beautiful.

Proper installation of the shower pan liner is critical to making the shower water tight.

A mud installation begins with wire mesh applied to the area.

Leveling the screeds allows for a flat level surface.

Applying mortar(mud) to the wall.

Rodding off excess mortar gives us the finish surface.

Mortar is now applied to the shower floor and bath floor.

Rodding off of floor mud gives us a flat solid surface.

The room is now ready to be tiled.

The finished product, built to last decades.
